Summertime is officially here and what better way for the mom a la mode family to embrace the first TRUE weekend of summer (meaning, pure sunshine – no rain clouds to be found!) than by taking in fun and amusements at the Jersey Shore!

Prior to using Casino Pier logo, creative, characters, images or reference, approval must be obtained from Casino Beach Pier LLC. This is to ensure proper usage of the intellectual property associated with Casino Pier as well as maintain brand integrity, consistency and appropriate messaging. 43 reviews of Casino Pier & Breakwater Beach 'Casino Pier is basically a huge arcade. If I remember right they have skee-ball too. You get tickets and/or coins for cheap prizes. Really you could go out and buy those prizes for less than you're going to spend earning the tickets to get them, but where is the fun in that? They have lots of great knick-knacks and silly little things that are. Is the water park I like the Arcade Palaces their it's more organized the ones at Coney island. Oh yeah it's hard to get there by public transportation. Step 1, Take the N.J transit train from Herald Square to Newark Bus terminal, Step 2, Wait for the #67X Jersey transit bus to Seaside Heights at bus terminal. Best to get to the bus terminal. We are Jersey Shore regulars, and spend most of our time in the Ortley Beach/Lavallette area. When it comes time for off-the-sand fun, the kids LOVE Casino Pier Breakwater Beach in Seaside Heights, NJ. We were excited to partner with Casino Pier Breakwater last weekend to enjoy the water park during the day and then hit the boards at night for some thrill rides and kiddie rides.

What's special for my husband and me is to relive our own Jersey Shore childhoods through our own children now. Evident in the fact that Mike just might have ridden a slide or two more than Roc at our recent Breakwater Beach visit 😉

With a pretty decent age gap between my two kids, it can sometimes be tough to find an activity that they BOTH can do. Thankfully, at Breakwater Beach, Sienna was able to splash around with Mommy in the toddler area while Daddy and Roc could hit the nearby Lazy River or play under the giant dump bucket and splash zone area.

There are tons of beach chairs and a decent amount of semi-shaded spots at Breakwater Beach. But it's imperative to apply your sunscreen and drink a lot of water, as you are out in the direct sunlight for most of the time.

There's a wave pool, multiple slides and even a snack bar with a full lunch menu (the pizza was really good!) so it's easy to spend 3+ hours enjoying the waterpark amenities.

After a few hours of water park fun, we retreated back to the house to dry off, rest and relax. After dinner, we headed back out to Seaside Heights to take on the boardwalk attractions at Casino Pier.

If you haven't been to the Boardwalk in Seaside Heights in a while, it's a good time to come back. Casino Pier has expanded a bit, with a new thrill ride coaster called Hydrus (that Mike LOVES!) and huge ferris wheel and some new kiddie rides that are due to open any week now.

Roc loves the Fun House, Moby Dick, Swings and Giant Slide but is equally as happy to accompany his little sister on the Cars/Trucks or the Beach Buggies.

No trip to the Boardwalk is complete without playing a few stands and hitting the Arcade. Casino Pier has a great arcade and always has the latest and greatest in prizes (Squishies, anyone?!?!)
